The captain of FWC Champions FC Nwagu Okechukwu has expressed confidence ahead of the new season as he affirmed that the team is progressing in their preparation.
With the season close to its kickoff and a number of preseason games already conquered, the captain noted that there are enough reasons to be calm owing to what has been learnt and experienced so far.
Speaking to the club’s media team at the Oil Village in Kaduna where the TSM preseason tournament is ongoing, ENGLISH, as he is often called said the exposures have made the team better.
“We are very confident ahead of the new season. Look at the number of matches we have played since we started preparing, look at the officiating, the teams and atmosphere, all of these are what we will be seeing in the league, especially in our away games.
“This is why we think we are now better. Don’t forget that we played in the NLO last season and the experiences cannot be forgotten in a hurry. We have learnt to make us better.” He stated.
He therefore, hopes the season starts at the earlier announced date of March 26, 2020 as the boys are already in the mood.
