Joel, Timothy deliver 2-0 win for FWC Champions FC 2-0 against African Future Stars

We had another opportunity to test our preparation level and strength against African Future Stars FC on Tuesday, January 28 at the Champions Fortress and it ended in a 2-0 win.

A barren first half was recorded but with high intensity and action packed which almost resulted in tension between both fans.

The game was also an opportunity for us to test some of the players who are currently on trial with us at FWC Champions FC.

Timothy Daweng, who came in as a substitute d in the second half scored the opening goal after several efforts to break into the visitors 18 box.

Isreal Ijaga also came close to extending the lead a couple of times but failed to find the back of the net until Joel Okoro registered his presence with the second goal- 15mins after he was introduced.

Quotes from Coach Bartholomew David, Head Coach of the FWC Champions FC

“African Future Stars are a good side. They gave us a good game but we were able to end the game with a win. We need more of these games to be in top form.

“I can say that my team is prepared for the league but we will keep working and we will not stop at doing that”

Coach Chibuike of African Future Stars had this to say:

“We lost the game because our players were out of focus and loss of concentration in the game

“FWC Champions FC is a league side, they have the edge
