FWC Champions FC midfielder, Agu Obum has admitted missing the round leather game due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Champions Who Care embarked on a six-week break as authorized by the NFF and the FCT FA on March 20, 2020 in a bid to stop the spread of COVID-19.
This is an unusual experience for Obum who says he is unhappy staying for days without playing the most popular game.
“It has been boring sitting all day without doing what I love most- playing football.
While stating that this experience is unusual, the midfielder admitted that “It has been a wonderful experience being with my family and my loved ones.
He, therefore, urged the government to be proactive to ensure the virus is contained so that life can return to normal.
“The government should play their role in stopping the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and also make available welfare packages to those at home who are now without jobs. I believe by God’s grace, everything will be okay.”
